Gaza's Scouts helping War Victims in Gaza.
Since the first day of the Israeli aggression, the Palestinian Scouts moved towards to help the Victims, even most of them were direct Victim of the war. the Scouts dived into three Group work :
* Evacuating the dead bodies, and gave the first aid to injured victims.
* Evacuating the damage houses, helping the people to move out their own propriety.
* Housing the homeless victims into the UN Schools in Gaza strip.
During this rescue operation 1 Scout killed and 9 injured. Scout leader EYAD AMEN killed by the Israeli white phosphor attack on ALFAKHORA UN School while he was leading the Field operation , and 6 Scouts injured in the same strike.
Nowadays, the Scouts build 3 major Refugee Camp for the homeless people and helped the victims to move from the Schools to the camps. they used some foundries done by some Scouts around the World for them to buy 500 Food basket, and build 89 Tent at SALAM (the Peace) refugee camp in North Gaza. where the Pictures is taken. this efforts was in addition to UNICEF, and UNRWA efforts to make it a bit easier for the Victims.
In whole of this Operation there were 1256 Scouts and Leaders as IBRAHIM MASSOUD the Leader in charge of this Operation. MASSOUD added '' the situation we are dealing with is very bad, We were moving sometimes in hard conditions, We lost a Scout leader, hopefully he will be the last lose in this Conflict.'' and describing the situation he said '' Scouts were connected by our own air radio system. We moved with the Ambulances, sometimes without them. wearing our Scout Uniform. the Israeli sniper shoot many times on our Scouts showing no respect for the Uniform. but this is not enough to stop us from our Duty''. also he wondered'' Sometimes I wonder about the Scouts abilities, even they are young but they were dealing like adults with the hard situations, some of them moved dead bodies which is totally burned, or covered with Human ash.''
The Scouts this days are divided into small work groups to cover all the time Victims need them at the Camps. but still after they are done with all the foundries they had. they are looking towards to receive more from the Scouts around the World.
