OIC Youth Conference - Meeting The Challenges, Making The Changes
"Iqraa" The First Islamic Youth Leadership Forum is a comprehensive youth leadership training program jointly organized by Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) represented by Iqraa Organization for Human Relations (IOHR) and Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation (ICYF-DC), and was held in Cairo, Egypt between 28 May - 6 June 2008.

The programme aimed to provide high-level comprehensive training and intellectual development of the best representatives of youth of the OIC countries.

About 60 participants from the youth organizations of OIC countries attended the Programme.

Thinkers Forum trainers, as part of their long-standing contribution to the intellectual life of Muslims, were in attendance and contributed positively to the First Islamic Youth Leadership Forum through delivery of appropriate seminars and workshops in "Leadership Training" for representatives of the Youth organizations from the OIC countries.

Each session was followed by an interactive Q&A and dialogue between the presenters and the audience, enriching the experiences of both. |

These conferences are part of the ongoing exercise to develop the intellectual and socio-economic community within the OIC, building brotherly relations, uplifting the muslim community so they maybe in a position to make a contribution to the wider world.
Thinkers Forum envisages playing a pro-active part in the development of both the Muslim ummah and the broader global community. For this purpose, it will endeavour to enhance the skills and experiences of their members, as well as recruit additional professionals to its team who will assist in the upliftment of the people.

Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation (ICYF-DC) based in Istanbul, is an institution affiliated to Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC). ICYF-DC was established in 2004 with the Founding General Assembly held on 1-3 December 2004 in Baku, on the initiative of 11 OIC Member States and under the patronage of the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the participation of about 70 delegates, representing 42 leading youth non-governmental organizations from 31 OIC Member States and Muslim minorities worldwide. ICYF-DC is a member based international institution affiliated to the OIC and aimed at coordinating youth policies in the OIC countries and promoting of dialogue between youth of the OIC countries with their counterparts worldwide.
