The growing number of halal financial products in the marketplace reflect an increased awareness of the Islamic prohibition against usury.
Similar teachings exist in the Jewish and Christian traditions, but are less well-known.
Why is usury seen as potentially dangerous and what is the connection with the current global crisis?
