100 Years of Scouting - The Community Working Together
To celebrate 100 years of scouting a community gathering comprising of various community representaives i.e the Mayors, MP's, Councillors, Christian & Muslim Faith Leaders and the scouting leadership was held at Bolton Town Hall & Victoria Square on 22nd April @ 1.30pm.
The event commenced with a small procession of the scouting groups from Churchgate to Victoria Square, which was followed by short speeches from the various community representtaives.
The scouting movement aims to develop young people physically, intellectually and spiritually, and to prepare them for their future lives.
The event marked another successful venture in different faith communities working and living together.
