Social Welfare SystemSolutions: Reformation of OIC & IDBMuslims have two main duties:-
1. To collectively resolve their internal problems in the muslim world through common unified action based on an agreed set of islamic principles. Problems that can only be resolved together include poverty, illiteracy, corruption, security, injustice, social & moral decline and so on. 2. It is a core belief of muslims that Islam and therefore Muslims should not be an inward looking group of people but one that have a divine duty to help alleviate the suffering of mankind in general irrespective of faith, race, gender or geography. Problems that should be addressed include global poverty, injustice, insecurity, social & moral decline, removal of tyranny & hegemony and so on. The OIC and IDB, are the political and financial bodies that muslims have established to address & resolve the problems within the muslim world on an agreed set of Islamic principles.
However, to date, if we analyse the socio-economic, political and security situation of the muslim world it is very clear that these bodies have been largley ineffective. Consequently, these bodies need to be fundamentally reformed to bring them back into line with both the islamic ideals and to have the political & executive authority to resolve the muslim world's problems. Once it is in a position to effectively and properly resolve the muslim ummah's problems, only then will it be able to move to the next stage of assisting in the alleviation of mankind's sufferring generally and stand up for justice.
