They play a critical role in raising public awareness, lobbying MPs and government, and generally keeping poverty campaigning alive. You can set up a group with any number of members or can even register an existing group, as a member of the TFI movement  and campaign on poverty alongside your other work.

To let your local press know you are holding an event/ organising on poverty action, and persuade them to cover the event. A press release can also be used if there is news on poverty alleviation or if you want to make your views (or that of your group) known on an issue.
