In every community there are a variety of social, economic, educational and political problems for which short-medium and long terms solutions need to be found and then implemented. Problems range from poverty, injustice, crime, racism, drugs, islamophobia, ignorance, immorality, intolerance, academic underachievement, climate change, global warming and disunity. TF SistersWe have an active sisters group who get together on a regular basis for informal coffee afternoons and provide a good outlet for young sisters and mums wishing to help the community. In an all inclusive society it is important that all members of the community, male and female, young and old, are involved in its progress, social transformation and upliftment. Activities arranged include education classes, family trips, study classes, youth development projects e.g. girls scouting , exhibitions, poverty alleviation & charity work and media projects. learn more
Crime, Security & Peace in the CommunityThe community is the cornerstone of society without which no institution or system can function. An important factor in a stable modern society is the issue of peace and security, without which the long term upliftment of the community is not possible. Issues of concern include drugs, violence, theft, prostitution, drinking, etc and the trends in society which cause these need to be assessed, and a medium-long term solution (s) found. In partnership with service providers and other bodies TFI endeavours to work for solutions to these community problems.
